Chicken Cutlet at Thomson Plaza

A western food stall recently opened at Thomson Plaza. Located at the Kopitiam food court on level one, Italian Cuisine Pasta & Grill serves up some pretty neat dishes. As the name suggests, you'll find pasta and various western dishes on the menu.

Let's see...They have 11 different styles of pasta (bolognese, aglio olio, etc), 7 main course (steak, pork, chicken & fish), a nice line-up of appetizers and 4 rice sets to choose from. That's a pretty darn good menu. I stood there for a good five minutes not knowing what to order. Hah, the choices in life!!!!

Ok, on to the chicken cutlet I ordered. I made small talk with the boss and she explained that everything is made from scratch at their stall. I liked the fact that the chicken cutlet was crispy like it should be and they were generous with the fruit salad. If you aren't a fan of coleslaw or fruit salad like some people I know, you will be happy to know that you can choose 2 side dishes to compliment your meal. Your choices are: Fries, Baked Beans, Fruit Salad, Tasty Rice and Mashed Potatoes. You'll also get the soup of the day!

Oh yeah, did I mention the Chicken Cutlet cost $6.50? The next time I visit Italian Cuisine Pasta & Grill, I'm gonna try the lasagna and brushetta. Damn, I'm hungry already!!!

Cooking is an art and patience a virtue.. Careful shopping, fresh ingredients and an unhurried approach are nearly all you need. There is one more thing.. love. Love for food and love for those you invite to your table. With a combination of these things you can be an artist. - The late Keith Floyd.
